Moneta is building the USDM fiat-backed stablecoin, an essential tool for Cardano. USDM serves as a base asset for decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols and enables instant on-chain payments. Our vision is to be a scalable catalyst for the growth and adoption of the entire Cardano ecosystem.
USDM is backed 1:1 by the USDM Reserve: USD bank deposits and US money market funds managed by Fidelity and Western Asset Management.
The USDM Reserve value is reported every day on the Cardano blockchain by the independent oracle, Charli3. USDM’s 1:1 backing is enforced through smart contracts that will not allow excess USDM to be issued.

Moneta Digital LLC is a US-regulated Money Services Business. It is the legal issuer and redeemer of the USDM stablecoin on Cardano. Moneta manages USDM Reserve. It is regulated Federally by FinCen, and at the state level by the appropriate governing bodies of each state in which it is operational.
Moneta was originally formed as Mehen Finance LLC, and was built by individuals from within the Cardano community, to nurture growth across the entire Cardano ecosystem. At Moneta, we believe in the power of community.
